photoblog image I had just taken a picture of this view......

.....when coming down the other side I slipped on some ice and fell, fracturing my wrist and possibly cracking a rib, badly bruising my sternum anyway. "OW!", I exclaimed!

OH NO! Does it make you feel better if I say this was worth it?
Penny: Hmm - not sure about that! I don't think the photo was worth three weeks of having to operate one-handed over Christmas. I've only just finished all the washing up today. Anyway, it could have been worse I probably got off lightly.

Oh dear. I hope you are patched up and mended now Penny
Penny: It's a lot better thanks, Chris, just the odd twinge reminds me that it's still not 100% healed.

Strewth Penny that sounds very painful
Penny: It was pretty bad, Bill, especially the chest - I'm sure I cracked a rib but they didn't bother to investigate that, though it was much more painful than my wrist. The next day I spent four and a half hours in A&E. A friend picked me up after my ordeal and we went to see Paddington 2 as an antidote. We were the only people in the auditorium so had a private viewing. It did the trick of cheering me up and taking my mind off my injuries, anyway. Hope you had a good Christmas!

I have injured my ribs twice an it is a no laughing matter. You can not laugh or hug as both hurt. Sorry this happened to you.

Agree with Mary. I had one hell of a time sleeping with my broken rib...
